From the top of Mount Rainier to the shores of Puget Sound, Pierce County averages about six inches of snow per year with average winter weather lows at 36 degrees. Take advantage of the snowy weather and explore one of our many parks, go skiing at Crystal Mountain or snowshoeing at Mount Rainier. Snow, rain or shine, there’s plenty to do indoors and outdoors in Pierce County.
