2019 EDB Annual Meeting Fast Approaching

The largest economic development gathering in the South Sound is just weeks away. The 2019 EDB Annual Meeting, Thursday, March 7, 2019, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., at the Greater Tacoma Convention Center. Join hundreds of business and civic leaders from across the region for a jam-packed lunchtime program.

Learn about this year’s Excellent 10 and Golden Shovel award winners, and hear from our keynote speaker, Rebecca Ryan.

Trained as a futurist and economist, Ryan helps regions figure out “what’s next” through speaking engagements (like the EDB’s Annual Meeting), leading foresight processes for organizations and communities, and teaching the science and art of strategic foresight. She’s a high-energy speaker who leaves event attendees ready to engage in planning our communities for the next generation.

Only a few Futures Boot Camp spots remain

New this year: Futures Boot Camp is an exclusive event is open only to sponsors and table hosts and will be capped at 75 people. On March 6, Rebecca Ryan will facilitate the workshop, which will give participants tools and techniques needed to use “strategic foresight” to help identify and imagine what lies ahead. She’ll incorporate what she learns from workshop attendees into her keynote address March 7.
