Hot projects in the works
Pre-pandemic and new expansion projects around Pierce County are picking up steam. Here are some of the hot projects in the EDB’s pipeline:
- Infoblox, a Tacoma cyber security company, renewed its lease and is making plans to grow operations.
- The EDB and its partners are working with a local aerospace company on a $2 million new-equipment expansion. The company recently inked a major deal to produce parts for a space-vehicle manufacturer.
- A small but growing coffee roasting manufacturer is looking for space, and the EDB is supporting them through the process.
- A logistics company signed a lease for an additional 150,000 square feet of space in Sumner. The expansion paves the way for 50 new jobs. The EDB is assisting with permitting to meet the company’s timeline goals. With e-commerce on the rise, the distribution and logistics sectors are keeping up and growing.
We’ll share more about these and other projects when the details are public.
