New Local Financial Resources Announced

This week the City of Tacoma and Pierce County Added Two New Financial Resources for Small Business.

We are grateful to be a part of a community that is coming together in a strong way. Both the Pierce County government and the City of Tacoma released specifically to assist small businesses.

Pierce County Emergency Small Business Relief Loan Program

On Thursday, March 26, 2020 Pierce County announced its Emergency Small Business Relief Loan Program, being operated through the Pierce County Economic Development Department.

This program is utilizing $640,000 approved by the Pierce County Council for the use of small business loans. Loans are done on a first come first serve bases and will provide up to $10,000 per loan.

To be eligible for this program you must be a Pierce County business with 10 or fewer employees who can demonstrate at least a 25% reduction in revenues as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, along with other requirements. Loans will be offered to qualified applicants with no interest and no payments for the first 12 months.

City of Tacoma/Make it Tacoma COVID-19 Stabilization Loan Program

On Friday, March 27, 2002, the City of Tacoma’s Community and Economic Development Department has announced the creation of the COVID-19 Stabilization Loan Program. This program aims to assist small businesses who have been impacted negatively by COVID-19.

This program is for City of Tacoma businesses with 10 or fewer employees, along with other qualifications. Loans of up to $15,000 are available for businesses that are approved. These loans will have deferred payments of 12 months after loan closing.
