Oldcastle breaks new ground
A little wind and rain didn’t stop Oldcastle APG West from hosting a groundbreaking ceremony on March 10 for their new Paver Production Facility in Frederickson.
Oldcastle, North America’s largest manufacturer of building products, chose Pierce County for its new 55,000 square foot plant and 2,000 square foot offices. The facility will be constructed on their 28 acre site in Frederickson. The facility will employ about 75, and production is expected to begin early 2017.
Oldcastle is using local firms AHBL and HHJ, Inc. for project development and construction. At the groundbreaking, Oldcastle corporate management expressed thanks and appreciation to Pierce County for an outstanding team approach and quick response times in reviewing project permit applications.
