For the EDB and other Pierce County delegates that attended the Farnborough International Air Show July 18-22, historic high temps, hot leads and loads of meetings marked the week in southwest London.

The team joined other Washington State partners to meet with aerospace industry leaders, connect with new and existing contacts, and tout the region’s assets, amenities and advantages to firms interested in relocating or expanding their operations.

Pierce County delegates included Bruce Kendall, EDB President and CEO; Dave Morell, Pierce County Councilmember; Betty Capestany, Pierce County Economic Development Director; and Lisa Goodman, Executive Team, The Benaroya Company. Sarah Bonds, EDB Vice President for Business Recruitment, provided logistical and meeting-management support from the home front.

Pierce County aerospace suppliers were also in the house, including Hunter Manufacturing, GKN Aerospace, General Plastics, Toray Composites Materials America, Inc. and Sekisui Aerospace.
