It’s an EDB tradition to get together with 540 of our closest friends to fete local business. This year we kicked off the Annual Meeting by awarding the 2017 Golden Shovel to Point Ruston. Through the vision of father-son developer team, Mike and Loren Cohen, the former SuperFund site has become a hot destination featuring dining, shopping, sweeping views, a plush movie theater, and luxury condominiums.

Next, keynote speaker Dr. Bill Conerly used his wit to teach us what it means to have a “flexible stance in a boom/bust economy.”

After unveiling the 2017 EDB Excellent 10, we wrapped up our annual celebration of development happening around Pierce County by giving award the  tables’ focal points, lush photos taken inside of Mount Rainier National Park.
