July 2018 Briefs

James Hardie: EDB recruitment success, then and now

In the Frederickson corporate offices of James Hardie Building Products Inc., the framed front page of the September 1997 issue of Teamwork hanging in the lobby tells a compelling story. The article and photo of then EDB President Erling Mork and James Hardie project manager Steve Brague touted construction of the company’s new 150,000-square-foot manufacturing plant.

Cut to present day. James Hardie is wrapping up its latest expansion of a 400,000-square-foot facility adjacent to the Frederickson plant, which will bring an additional 100+ family-wage jobs to Pierce County.

This EDB recruitment success story just keeps getting better.
