Continued Acceleration Program launched in Tacoma

The EDB has partnered with the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) Washington Business Center to launch Continued Acceleration. The program will support small BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color), veteran and women-owned businesses that are graduating from Pierce County Business Accelerator programs.

“Building on the work of our regional accelerator programs, Continued Acceleration helps our BIPOC-owned businesses navigate the complexities of establishing and expanding their business presence and leveraging market access opportunities in our region,” said Tacoma Mayor Victoria Woodards. “Continued Acceleration takes a multi-faceted, holistic approach to enhancing the knowledge and skills BIPOC-owned small businesses have already acquired and positions them for long-term growth and success.”

Participants will receive direct outreach and one-on-one support for loans, grants, relief-assistance application prep; technical assistance related to financial proficiency; access to capital, contracting and procurement assistance and more. The program also provides fast-track certification support and hands-on training through the State’s Office of Women and Minority Business Enterprises.
