In June, EDB Vice President of Business Recruitment Sarah Bonds will attend the SelectUSA Investment Summit. It won’t be the first time the EDB has participated in the high-profile event, but this year’s Summit will look a little different.

Normally held in person in Washington DC, the 2021 event will feature more than 100 virtual sessions, a virtual exhibition hall with economic development organizations and service providers, and a networking platform where participants can connect.

Historically, the event draws more than 3,000 attendees and attracts more than 1,200 business investors from approximately 80 international markets who join economic developers from most U.S. states and territories. When SelectUSA was last held in 2019, nearly $100 million in new investment projects were announced at the event. Bonds returned to Pierce County with several promising leads.
