The 2025 Paris Air Show, held in Le Bourget, France, is a major international event for the aerospace industry.

Exhibitors and Visitors:

  • 2,453 exhibitors: from 49 countries.
  • 316,470 unique visitors
  • 500,000 entries
  • 141,000 trade visitors: (40% international)
  • 176,630 general public visitors

Key Highlights of Paris Air Show:

  • Record share for defense and security: Around 45% of the show floor was dedicated to defense and security, reflecting the impact of the war in Ukraine and conflicts in Gaza.
  • Space sector gaining prominence: The show included a Paris Space Hub, highlighting the growing importance of space in both civilian and military applications.
  • Focus on emerging technologies: Loitering munitions, air defense systems, and drone technologies were prominent.

Orders and Contracts:

  • Airbus: Secured many orders, including 250 firm orders and 156 options.
  • Boeing: Received 41 firm orders and 4 options from ANA Holdings of Japan.
  • Embraer: Won significant orders for its E175 and E195-E2 jets.
  • Overall: A total of 1,247 new deals were recorded, including firm orders, options, and Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs).

Other Notable Aspects:

  • Supply chain issues: A key concern for airlines and manufacturers, impacting aircraft deliveries and production rates.
  • Defense focus: The show saw a surge in interest and orders related to air and missile defense systems, ISR platforms, and drone technologies.
  • Strong presence of start-ups: 300 start-ups participated, showcasing innovation in the aerospace sector.
  • International participation: More than 55% of exhibitors were from outside France.
