Sara Garner new economic development specialist for Pierce County

In her first week on the job, Sara Garner (center) joined the EDB’s Maddie Merton and Pierce County’s Rob Allen for the 2019 AgTrans Annual Meeting in Tacoma, WA.

The EDB welcomes Sara Garner, new economic development specialist for Pierce County Economic Development, our partners at the County level.

Garner is responsible for the business retention and expansion program of outreach for the county. She will visit businesses to determine needs and areas of opportunity, and connect them to resources and services.

Prior to coming to Pierce County, Garner was vice president of the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce for nearly 13 years where she developed and managed programs and services to help member businesses thrive.

“I’m thrilled to join the economic development team in Pierce County,” Garner said. “I look forward to working with businesses and stakeholders in the county to further our common goals to keep businesses here and help them grow.”
