With locations in Sumner and Auburn, WA, Sekisui Aerospace is a global leader in designing, testing and manufacturing for the aerospace industry.
A subsidiary of Japanese plastics manufacturer Sekisui Chemical, Sekisui Aerospace was founded in 1988 and produces aerospace necessities ranging from airplane wings to flight deck doors.
A contributor to the Boeing, Kawasaki and GE Aviation supply chains, Sekisui Aerospace manages large manufacturing volumes in their facilities, including Sekisui Aerospace’s Sumner, WA and Auburn, WA locations which are home to a combined 143,200 sq ft of manufacturing space.
Sekisui first came to Pierce County in 2019 when it acquired AIM Aerospace and has increased the region’s aerospace capacity and industry portfolio.
As one of Pierce County’s largest employers, Sekisui was named the 2020 Aerospace Futures Alliance company of the year, with Sekisui Chemical and its subsidiaries named one 2020’s most sustainable corporations in the world.
