The EDB has officially opened the 2020 Pierce County Major Employers List for submissions!

On Monday, August 10, 2020 the Economic Development Board for Tacoma-Pierce County (EDB) began its research period for the 2020 Pierce County Major Employers List.

Each year the EDB assembles and publishes the Pierce County Major Employers List with the goal of celebrating and showcasing  our business community. Now, the EDB is asking for the help of the Pierce County business community to update the list for 2020.

The Major Employers List is consistently the most downloaded and requested item produced by the EDB. In addition to showcasing our Pierce County employers and being widely shared across community websites and news outlets, this list provides critical information to site consultants and businesses looking to locate in Pierce County .

The Major Employers Lists complies full time equivalent (FTE) employment data.

• Businesses with 100+ FTEs will be counted on the “Major Employers” list.
• Businesses with  50-99 FTEs will be counted on the “Companies to Watch” list.

To participate in the 2020 Major Employers List:

• Complete the 2020 Major Employers Online Submission Form
• Share this information with someone on your teem or in your company who has FTE data
• Share this information with your friends and fellow business community members

Employers with 100+ FTEs, who report their employment numbers to us, will receive a digital Major Employers Badge and marketing kit for their use! –

The EDB understands employment numbers change daily, you can contact us any time to update or change your employment number during our survey period –  August 10,2020 – November 20, 2020. The 2020 Major Employers List will be published in December of this year.
