The EDB condemns the war being waged on the citizens of Ukraine by Russian forces. Like so many others around the world, we call on Russia to end the hostilities and the suffering.

Economic developers across the globe work together to improve lives through investments and job creation. Wars do precisely the opposite. Wars don’t build, they destroy. The breathtaking courage of the Ukrainian people deserves our support.

We urge all leaders to continue to work toward a diplomatic solution before more lives and livelihoods are lost. In addition, each of us can find ways to help address the suffering. The EDB has contributed to the UN World Food Program, which directly helps those who are without food or water in Ukraine.
