The Economic Development Board for Tacoma-Pierce County’s Trade-Logistics Cluster Acceleration Team brings together a group of supply chain leaders to create strategies that move the industry forward in Pierce County. These strategies result in job creation, economic prosperity, a healthy environment and an inclusive community.

The Trade-Logistics Cluster’s five-year strategic plan includes three key initiatives:

Community Education

  • Increase the understanding of the Trade-Logistics sector and its value among the Pierce County community and within the sector itself.

Policy Advocacy

  • Use a collective voice with policy makers to advocate for a strong Trade-Logistics sector and community.

Workforce Development

  • Increase the understanding and relevancy of the career opportunities in the Trade-Logistics sector across the region.
